Unlike in Dead Space 2, saves are not restricted as all manual savings have been removed, instead dying on Hard Core forces the player to start the ENTIRE game over. The player must begin a fresh game on Hard difficulty level. This includes all S.C.A.F Artifacts, Unitologist Artifacts, Alien Artifacts, Earthgov Artifact, Audio Logs, Text Logs, Weapon Parts and Circuits for Dead Space 3 in Chapter 4: CMS Brusilov.
